The original three CPDs offered have now been superseded by three new 1-hour courses – Space Heating with Radiators, Decarbonisation with Radiators and Low Surface Temperature Radiators – updated to meet CIBSE’s high technical standards, offering meaningful learning outcomes reflecting the latest legislation.

They are designed to meet Stelrad’s evolving customer needs ensuring that the content remains both relevant and impactful. “We’ve just received approval from CIBSE for these three new CPDs and we’re ready to begin offering these to interested parties up and down the country,” says Sarah Baker, Stelrad’s Marketing Communications Manager. “We know from the excellent feedback we’ve had to previous versions just how well received these are and we’re expecting heavy take up of these new versions now they are available.” For more information or to book a CPD session, call 01709 578 950 or email marketing@stelrad.com

A large 7.66-acre site on the north bank of the River Orwell in Ipswich, Suffolk is the site of a new 173 home housing development being built by a partnership of Galliard Homes, Aviva Investors and Packaged Living. And Stelrad has supplied just short of 1,200 of its Vita Deco radiators to share heat around the homes on the development. The main contractor for the heating installations on site is Loughton based Link 365 and the Stelrad radiators were supplied via BSS in Colchester and delivered in batches to meet the installation needs as the development progressed.

Grafton Way is a major ‘Buy to Rent’ scheme to provide high quality, affordable rented two, three and four bedroomed homes, with the focus on providing a sustainable development that prioritises green credentials throughout their construction. All the new homes will have heating and hot water courtesy of air source heat pumps, and each home will feature electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to encourage tenants to opt for electric vehicles.

The development is targeting a minimum EPC rating of B. Before the development, the site comprised a vacant brownfield site and a temporary car park. The site had been unoccupied since the departure of B&Q from the site around ten years ago.

At the groundbreaking ceremony back in 2022, the then Ipswich Borough Council leader Cllr David Ellesmore said: “Ipswich needs more homes to cater for the town’s growing population and it’s great to see Galliard Homes and Packaged Living answering the call. Grafton Way isn’t just another housing development. It’s a new neighbourhood that will regenerate and breathe life into the waterfront, delivering much needed homes for the people of Ipswich.”

The development is a perfect example of proof that air source heat pump driven systems operate as well with radiators as any form of heating in new homes. This development sees the use of Vaillant heat pumps and radiators can be part of the heating system’s future proofing if properly specified and sized to ensure the levels of comfort heating that each room requires.

The Stelrad Vita Deco features a stunning flat front, with smart horizontal lines across the face of the radiator, giving each room a focal point – not simply a heating appliance. “We’re delighted to have been selected to be a part of this excellent new development,” says Stelrad’s Regional Manager (South), Sahil Patel. “It’s great to be associated with sustainable projects and to see our radiators adding a little bit of style to these stunning homes.”

Project manager for Link 365 is Jason Rayner: “We’ve worked with Stelrad radiators before, and we like the ease of installation, the quality of the products and the delivery arrangements they are happy to comply with for us, so we have the radiators on site when we need them. We think the radiators look brilliant in these new homes and will go on to provide sustainable heating for the occupants for very many years.” You can find out more about the Vita Deco and other Vita models along with the wide range of options from Stelrad by visiting www.stelradprofessional.com

Radiators from Stelrad’s wide range of radiators have been selected to share heat around the new offices of leading brewing business Molson Coors at its headquarters in Burton-upon-Trent. The brewer behind some of the biggest beer and cider brands in the UK and Ireland including Carling, Madri and Aspall Cyder has opened the doors to its new UK and Ireland headquarters in the Midlands.

Molson Coors Beverage Company has relocated from its previous Burton-on-Trent High Street Campus to a new office space on Guild Street, bringing the company's headquarters closer to its brewery in the town. At the heart of the new office is a central atrium which branches out to numerous meeting rooms, desk spaces, quiet booths, and a larger multi-use space which can seat up to 100 people at a time. The development has involved the repair and restoration of the historic buildings on the site, preserving these vital elements of Burton’s brewing heritage for generations to come.

Molson Coors also continues to work with the National Brewery Heritage Trust to preserve the brewery heritage collection in readiness for the new Brewing Heritage and Social History Experience, part of the transformational Burton High Street Project. The business employs more than 500 people at its Burton brewery, alongside in excess of 500 more based at its head office. Stelrad has supplied 36 radiators to the project including a number of both white and coloured Planar, flat fronted designer radiators, as well as chrome classic towel rails and a number of its sector leading low surface temperature radiators.

“We’re delighted to be involved in this prestigious project and to be supplying radiators from across our range,” says Stuart Dixon, Specification Manager for Stelrad in the Midlands. “These new offices are very impressive and feature a classic combination of new build with exceptional renovation of existing historic buildings on the site, proof that radiators work well across different styles and ages of architecture. It also highlights the value of being able to supply radiators in a range of colours, to complement and contrast with other décor in these exceptional projects.”

Contractor for the project was Mellor Bromley Mechanical Services, Leicester and the radiators were supplied through SBS in Leicester. Construction on site began in summer 2023, with Clegg Food Projects working closely alongside Molson Coors and BHB Architects to preserve the site's architectural legacy while introducing modern infrastructure in line with 21st-century building standards.

The completed headquarters has been designed to reflect the character of Burton upon Trent's rich brewing history, while meeting the needs of a contemporary workforce. The company began moving into its new home in March 2025 and is now fully operational from these impressive new offices. www.stelrad.com
