The arrival of a number of new and extended radiator ranges from Stelrad over the past few months has been warmly welcomed by the heating industry. First off the line was the new extended range of cast iron radiators – high quality additions to an already popular range of top end radiators.

In its 90th year, it seems almost fitting that leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad has chosen to expand the range of options for its cast iron column radiators here in the UK. The popularity of cast iron radiators, albeit better manufactured and much more efficient than their elderly predecessors, has seen major growth in recent years, if anything making them even more popular now than they were in their so-called heyday back between the mid nineteenth century and the 1920s.
Stelrad is expanding its cast iron radiator offering with two new products, in addition to the current cast iron product that has been well received, giving customers more choice within this growing part of the market. This expanded range is available now.

There will now be three options:
Stelrad Hattersley Cast Iron Column – current product
Stelrad Artisan Cast Iron Column – new product
Stelrad Foundry Cast Iron Column - new product
The names have been chosen to lean into Stelrad’s 90th‑year anniversary, linking into Stelrad’s industrial roots, craftsmanship, and longevity. The new additions have an impressive warranty of 25 years. The delivery process remains the same 15‑working day lead time. This update strengthens Stelrad’s position in the cast iron category and gives installers and specifiers more flexibility when discussing premium heating solutions with merchants and installers.
This new range now offers more than 500 radiators in a wide range of sizes. The radiators are available with a selection of accessories including shrouds and base plates, wall stays, and manual and TRV valves and in a wide range of finishes including chrome, natural brass, natural pewter, satin nickel and unlacquered brass. These radiators are floor standing with inbuilt feet for extra stability as they are significantly heavier than their steel counterparts.

The second new range of radiators released recently are the new 500mm high range of Compact radiators to extend the already largest range of radiators available in the UK and Ireland. The Compact radiator range from Stelrad Radiators has grown even more with the addition of a further 26 models – in its new 500mmm high range – thirteen in K1 format and thirteen in K2 format in sizes from 400mm x 500mm right up to 2000mm x 500mm and from 1137 Btu/hr output up to 10,195 Btu/hr output.
These additions are being made to the range in response to customer feedback with consistent requests for a 500mm height option particularly from merchants and installers looking for more flexibility in like-for-like replacement opportunities in heating system replacement projects. The addition of the 500mm height range adds strength to Stelrad’s offer for social housing and contract-led projects, where specific dimensions are often required to meet refurbishment specifications.
And extending size and output options supports decarbonisation – a broader range gives customers more choice when designing low temperature systems, supporting our wider decarbonisation strategy by enabling better system optimisation and improved heat pump compatibility.
There is quite literally a Compact for almost every conceivable application and they provide a quality heating solution for any home, modern or traditional in design. These particular additions are getting plaudits from Stelrad’s contract customers but alongside its 200mm, 900mm and 1200mm high ranges and its K3 offerings, the selection available for customers embracing heat pump technology is now pretty much complete.
And finally, the exciting new Column radiator range – with Italian design know-how made its appearance – and what an impact that has made. Stelrad Radiators has introduced an Italian -designed new look, improved range of its popular Column radiators – in both its vertical and horizontal column radiator ranges. The new range is available through all existing outlets streamlining the existing range, enhancing the performance from our Column radiator selection, and strengthening long-term value for purchasers of the range.
The most obvious changes are to the design of the radiators that will now feature a new rounded column design. The streamlined model range will feature 54 horizontal radiators and four vertical options and they feature an increased warranty – significantly extended from the current five years to fifteen years.
All other core specifications will remain consistent including colours – available in Traffic White and Anthracite Grey from stock, steel thickness, certifications and stock availability.
